Certified athletic therapy services have been available at the MacEwan Athletic Therapy Clinic since MacEwan College opened its downtown campus in 1994. Led by Theresa Tate, the clinic provides a very comprehensive and aggressive approach to the treatment of sport related injuries. Few athletes realize that there is very good insurance coverage for certified athletic therapy when participating in sports such as minor hockey, baseball, soccer, rugby and community basketball and volleyball.
MacEwan Athletic Therapy Clinic is open Monday to Friday from 12pm to 8pm.

MacEwan Athletic Therapy
Theresa Nabis has been the head athletic therapist at the MacEwan Athletic Therapy Clinic since 2008. Theresa’s main interest is in the timely identification of sports related injuries and the institution of a comprehensive plan of injury treatment and sport specific rehabilitation. Theresa is also involved in the organization of a teaching component to the clinic, as a number of interested athletic therapy students receive valuable clinic experience under Theresa's leadership at MATC.
Another service provided by MATC is the coordination of athletic trainer coverage for the major sports teams at MacEwan College. Rehabilitation programs for these injured athletes are carried out in the athletic therapy clinic.
